POST-MEDIEVAL IRELAND Excavations database

As part of the Irish post-medieval archaeology group agenda to promote and disseminate information on post-medieval archaeology in Ireland, we intend to put on the IPMAG website a summary of all post-medieval sites excavated in Ireland from 1970 onwards. 

The information has been extracted from the excavations.ie website (www.excavations.ie) and is presented as entered in that facility. We wish to register our thanks to Nick Maxwell and Wordwell Ltd for permission to reproduce the material and to Richard Clutterbuck for assembling the information for IPMAG.

When all of the post-medieval excavation summaries have been compiled, it is intended that this research facility be fully searchable in a number of fields. As the first stage of this project, summaries of post-medieval excavations carried out in Ireland between 1985-1995 are presented as a pdf here.
