Research interests

Contemporary coastal processes, in particular high resolution aeolian sediment transport dynamics, computational fluid dynamics in modelling air flow over dunes/beaches as well as micro- to mesoscale aeolian landforms. Research areas also include nearshore sediment dynamics (surf zone and swash), nearshore bar dynamics, large scale storm impacts and deposits. Coastal management issues are also investigated to include climate change impacts on coastlines and climate adaptation. I am also involved in sand dune and beach management, applying knowledge of physical processes. Member of the Coastal Systems Research Group.
