Pressure Ulcer Prevention and Management for Occupational Therapists

This module provides occupational therapists with the opportunity to further develop their clinical reasoning skills in the prevention and management of pressure ulcers. It will address the impact of pressure ulcers on patients and on health service resources. The module will facilitate participants to reflect critically on their everyday practice both as a beginner or as an experienced clinician. The module is appropriate for occupational therapists who work with clients at risk of pressure ulcer development.

Methods of teaching and learning: Lectures, practical workshops, tutorials

Assessment: 100% Coursework (assignment (80%), practical test (20%), 500 word reflective piece)
