Ulster Appoints Visiting Professor in Men’s Health

The Institute of Nursing and Health Research/School of Nursing, University of Ulster has appointed Dr Ian Banks as a Visiting Professor in Men’s Health, to work alongside Professor Eilis MCaughan’s team and our programme of research ‘Understanding Men and Cancer.’

Professor Ian Banks is an internationally recognised expert in the field of men’s health

Professor Ian Banks is an internationally recognised expert in the field of men’s health and is currently President of the European Men’s Health and the Men’s Health Forum England and Wales. He is a member of the Council of the British Medical Association and is their official spokesman on men’s health issues. Recently appointed by the UK’s Royal Society of Public Health, as a Professorial Fellow of the Society, he has also been awarded the BMA Association Medal.

Professor Banks, who has written over 50 manuals on men’s health with a distribution of over two million books, has also been Medical Editor for Men’s Health Magazine and Deputy Editor of the Men’s Health Journal.

Professor Eilis McCaughan is looking forward to working with Professor Banks:
