Health and Rehabilitation Sciences Research Centre

Professor Brendan McCormack has welcomed the Health and Rehabilitation Sciences Research Centre into the Institute of Nursing Research. The centre, under the leadership of Professor Suzanne McDonough will join the existing four other centres within the Institute.

Professor McCormack stated: ‘I am delighted that Health and Rehabilitation Sciences and Nursing will be working together and wish to congratulate Suzanne on her appointment.  Nursing and Health and Rehabilitation Sciences have been working closer together over the past 18-months, and whilst the decision to close the Health and Rehabilitation Sciences Research Institute has been a difficult, I am confident that the new centre within the Institute of Nursing Research will greatly benefit multidisciplinary research.’

Dr Mary Hannon-Fletcher, Head of the School of Health Sciences also stated: We are making very positive steps already in our research agenda. I have no doubt that by joining the Institute of Nursing Research under the leadership of Professor Brendan McCormack with Professor Suzanne McDonough’s support; we will go from strength to strength.
