Mr David Chaney
Biography
David is a Lecturer in Nursing, currently responsible for the delivery of both the diabetes specialist practice course and diabetes short course within the school of nursing, University of Ulster. David qualified as a staff nurse in 1992 and has been working within the area of diabetes care since 1994. During this time his roles have varied from staff nurse through diabetes specialist nurse to lecturer in nursing. He was awarded an MSc in Nursing from Trinity College Dublin in 2001 and subsequently completed a Postgraduate Diploma in Clinical Health Sciences Education there also. David is currently undertaking a PhD within the area of structured diabetes education for adolescents between the ages of 13 – 19 years.

- The evaluation of a structured diabetes education programme (CHOICE) for adolescents between 13 and 19 years with type 1 diabetes.
