Biography

Mary Waldron is a research associate in the Institute of Nursing Research at the University of Ulster. She holds a primary degree in History and English and post graduate teaching qualification from University College, Cork and a community education qualification from Jordanhill College of Education, Glasgow. She completed an MSc in Professional and Management Development for Women at the University of Ulster and has extensive research experience in health and social care in England, Scotland and Northern Ireland. Mary has published a number of research papers and reports on Palliative Care in Northern Ireland. She was also a community/user representative on a local health and social care group in the Northern Health and Social Services Board area in Northern Ireland (2002-2006).

Palliative and End of Life Care.

Current Research Projects:

Mary undertakes a range of joint palliative care research activities  for University of Ulster and Northern Ireland Hospice.
