Welcome to the Homepage of the Landscape and Natural Science research group at the University of Ulster

The group is part of the Environmental Sciences Research Institute and currently consists of three members of academic staff, two Research Assistants, eight field surveyors and five PhD researchers. Our research bridges countryside management, biological conservation and biodiversity, plant/animal community and landscape ecology, forest ecology and the management of pests, and the ecology of birds. Many research interests associated with the biosphere are shared with the groups in Freshwater Science and Coastal & Marine Science.
