
Sports-Related Studies at the University of Ulster has had a resounding success in the 2008 Research Assessment Exercise, confirming its international status and placing it in the top third of Sports-Related Studies in the UK. Welcome to the Sport and Exercise Sciences Research Institute. Our aim is facilitate, co-ordinate and to carry out high quality research and to promote a vibrant culture of research and scholarship within the University of Ulster and in partnership with health providers, sports governing bodies and other centres of excellence.
The Institute endeavours to:
- promote high quality, strategic and applied research;
- strengthen the national and international research base in Sport and Execise Sciences and related disciplines;
- provide consultancy services
- educate high calibre research students;
- provide a base for visiting scholars.
The group now encompass several selected areas or subgroups of research.
