Ulster Sports Academy

HEIF

The University’s Higher Education Innovation fund (HEIF) is used to promote innovation and partnerships, aimed at effectively using our knowledge and expertise for the benefit of our wider community and ourselves (academic enterprise). Academic Enterprise is a term used within Ulster to describe a wide range of activities that go beyond traditional “teaching” and “research”.

HEIF-supported projects include both cross-faculty and cross-school projects.  Current examples include:

  • Dr G Davison (lead). “Validation of ‘LifeShirt’ technology in adults and children with cystic fibrosis.”
  • Dr G Davison. “Evaluation of an on-line nutrition diary and exercise monitoring to facilitate the achievement of nutritional goals.”
