QUALITY ASSURANCE AT THE MODULE LEVEL
Module evaluation. Module evaluation is considered good practice but is not compulsory. Module evaluation may consist of staff reflections on the conduct of the module including the moderation of student assessment, student opinion of the module, the external examiners opinion of the conduct of the module where appropriate and a review of student performance in the module assessment. The outcomes of staff-student consultative committees may further inform this process. |
|
| During annual subject monitoring, individual modules are identified as being “at risk” when more than 30% of students failed the assessment at the first sit (June). Module evaluations are used to identify particular problems and to develop action plans to resolve them. These action plans may involve revisions of the module or a review of the ways in which students are prepared to take the module. | |
