RECORD KEEPING

Examination scripts
All examination scripts which contribute to a final award will be retained by module co-ordinators until the December following graduation. Scripts that do not contribute to the final award must be retained for a period of at least 6 months following the meeting of the board of examiners that considered them. Vigilance should be maintained to ensure that scripts of students on leave of absence or who have otherwise fallen out of synchronicity with their peers are not disposed of inadvertently.
Coursework
Coursework is normally returned to the student after the board of examiners that considered it. It is the students’ responsibility to produce their coursework in the event of any appeal. It is not normally kept for record keeping purposes. A sample (or copies) may be retained for the purposes of establishing standards from year to year.
